El 8º Congreso ISKO-España se ha configurado bajo el lema de "La interdisciplinariedad y la transdisciplinariedad en la organización del conocimiento científico".
En las últimas décadas la investigación científica se viene enfrentando a realidades cada vez más complejas, marcadas por interrelaciones e interconexiones de los constituyentes biológicos, psicológicos, sociales, económicos, políticos, culturales, etc.
Pretendemos que este encuentro sirva de foro de reflexión y debate sobre las implicaciones, desarrollos y soluciones aportados desde el ámbito de las Ciencias Documentales a este nuevo entorno caracterizado por la confluencia e interacción de saberes.
El Congreso se articula en cinco sesiones que integran los distintos enfoques de los trabajos y ponencias presentadas, a las que se han de sumar coloquios y una mesa redonda en la que se abordará la situación de la Organización del Conocimiento en los nuevos estudios de Información y Documentación derivados del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior.

Su propósito no es otro que el de servir de foro abierto a todo áquel que quiera opinar, discutir o simplemente comentar cualquier tema que tenga que ver con el Congreso que se va a celebrar en abril. Es necesario y oportuno dedicar un espacio de este blog a la ciudad de León, localidad donde tendrá lugar ISKO España 2007 y que muchos asistentes tendrán el placer de visitar por primera vez.
PATRIMONIO
- La Catedral: sín lugar a dudas, es el símbolo de la ciudad de León. Levantada entre los siglos XIII y XVI y restaurada durante el siglo pasado, es un claro ejemplo del gótico francés. Por destacar algo, sus más de 100 vidrieras de colores que cubren los vanos.
- San Marcos: el actual edificio es del siglo XVI. Destaca: la fachada de estilo plateresco y el claustro renacentista y barroco. Hoy San Marcos es parador de turismo de gran lujo.
- Real Basílica de San Isidoro: realizada en estilo románico entre los siglos XI y XII, contiene los restos de San Isidoro de Sevilla, trasladados en el año 1063. La joya de la basílica es el Panteón de los Reyes, lugar de reposo de 23 monarcas y espacio que alberga las más perfectas pinturas murales del románico español.
- Casa Botines: obra del arquitecto Antonio Gaudí, edificado a finales del siglo XIX, destaca por su inconfundible estilo modernista. Actualmente es sede social de Caja España.
- Palacio de los Guzmanes: obra del siglo XVI, es sede de la Diputación Provincial.
- Camino de Santiago: León es punto de partida y de llegada de los peregrinos que se dirigen a Santiago. Los viajeros atraviesan calles y plazas marcadas por la concha jacobea en su caminar hacia la capital gallega.
GASTRONOMÍA
Es difícil elegir un plato como el más característico de la cocina leonesa: los embutidos y quesos de la Montaña: de vaca, de cabra, de oveja y el afamado queso de Valdeón; cecina de vaca y de chivo; la trucha es la reina de los ríos leoneses; la caza también tiene su espacio; no olvidemos los guisos de cuchara como el cocido maragato, las alubias, patatas con bacalao...; y a los postres: "Imperiales" de la Bañeza, "Nicanores" de Boñar, Mantecadas de Astorga...

Para finalizar con el recorrido por León, enumerar algunos de los Museos con los que cuenta la ciudad: San Isidoro, el Catedralicio-Diocesano, el Arqueológico Provincial, el Etnográfico Provincial, Fundación Vela-Zanetti, el de la Semana Santa, el Museo de León, el Sierra Pampley y no olvidemos el reciente Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MUSAC) que tanta trascendencia nacional e internacional está teniendo.
